What better way to begin this blogging business again, then from the beginning and what better words to start with, then with ”the truth”.
The famous saying, “The Truth Hurts” (author unknown) goes hand-in-hand with that other famous saying, “You Will Know The Truth And The Truth Shall Set You Free” (John 8:32)
The Truth is not always pretty or inviting, delivered or received, but at the same token, it can be so refreshing, inspiring, and most of all life-saving.
I learned the hard way, that the ugly truth is a necessary component of the “life surrendered.”
I wasn’t always ready and willing to open my can of worms and spill them for all the world to see, and to be perfectly honest with you, I’m still not 100% comfortable with some of “the truths” that make up a part of my life and past, but I am satisfied and oh so Grateful that My Savior has already forgiven and forgotten every single one of those horrible truths that for years, has scarred and held me captive.
This post is not about airing my dirty laundry or revealing some deep, dark secret of my past.
It is all about being set free! Free to proclaim what The Lord has done in my life since I’ve come clean with Him, since I have surrendered my past, present and future to Him, in order to carry out all that He has “called” me to do.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders
10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Washed!!! Sanctified!!! Justified!!! it doesn’t get any better than that folks, after ALL that I’ve done not to deserve a single one of those. I humbly, gratefully, and gladly take them all.
Thank You Father for your Saving Grace & Mercy over my life, I appreciate and treasure Your Forgiveness and surrender my whole life back to You, where it rightfully belongs!!!
